Qantas Business Rewards is a rewards program specifically for Australian SMEs with an ABN. Through the program, members can access exclusive discounts on the base fare of selected Qantas flights as well as earn Qantas Points for their business on everyday business expenses such as eligible Qantas flights, hotels, car hire, petrol, insurance, technology, banking and much more. Points can then be transferred to any Qantas Frequent Flyer Account to reward your business, your employees or even yourself.
2. What is the difference between the Qantas Frequent Flyer Program and the Qantas Business Rewards program?
The key difference is that Qantas Business Rewards is a program for businesses and Qantas Frequent Flyer is a program for individuals. To be part of the Qantas Business Rewards program you need to have an ABN and once registered, you can earn points on your business expenses (if the product or service is from one of the program partners) or on eligible flights. Qantas Points earned by the business can be transferred, at a minimum of 3,000 per transfer, to an individual’s Qantas Frequent Flyer membership account and used for rewards. Frequent Flyer members who fly for business reasons continue to earn their Qantas Points and Status Credits as normal, however the business can now earn Qantas Points on top of what the traveller earns. When the business wishes to use the points earned via Qantas Business Rewards, it can transfer points at a minimum of 3,000 per transfer to any nominated Frequent Flyer, who can then redeem them for flights, upgrades, in the Qantas Shopping Rewards Store and much more.
You can sign up your brokerage to the Qantas Business Rewards program for free here. To be eligible to earn Qantas Points through BizCover Brokers, you will need to be signed up to the BizCover Brokers platform and have bound 10 new business policies in the calendar month. Points are then automatically credited to the brokerage’s QBR account after 100 days and all policies have been paid in full.
Your brokerage is required by Qantas to have an ABN in order to join the Qantas Business Rewards program. If you don’t have an ABN, you cannot join the Qantas Business Reward program or earn points.
Every brokerage that opts into the Qantas Business Rewards program through BizCover Brokers will be set up with an online account where they can track the number of points they have earned. It is the responsibility of the brokerage to manage the allocation of points to individual brokers, either by the principal broker or the nominated QBR account admin. Points will be credited to the brokerage’s QBR account after 100 days of binding the policy. The number of points earned each month is dependent on the total number of policies bound, in multiples of 10, with 10,000 points earned per 10 new business policies.

There are many ways to redeem your business’ Qantas points. Just transfer your business’ Qantas Points to any Qantas Frequent Flyer account and the account holder can redeem them for a range of rewards. You could even use points to incentivise high performing employees or keep them for upgrades, flights or a range of products to help your business from the Qantas Rewards Store.
