Claim Description
An insured personal trainer was sub-contracting at a gym. During one of their classes, a participant injured her knee and later sought damages from both the personal trainer and the owner of the gym.
Outcome
The personal trainer’s insurer appointed legal counsel to manage the claim. A settlement was agreed, which included covering the class participant’s out-of-pocket expenses, future medical treatments, economic losses, and the need for domestic assistance due to the injury.
The insurer ultimately paid the $110,000 settlement plus $22,080 in fees.
