The insured operates a sushi shop in a shopping centre. The shop sustained damage when a vehicle crashed into the wall of the shopping centre causing damage to the insured’s premises including the kitchen store room and dining area. The insured was also prevented from trading.

The insurer made payments of $18,837 under the Property (Contents) and $1,583 under the Business Interruption sections of the policy, less the insured’s excess.
