Management Indemnity

A real estate agent was issued an infringement notice by a government department. The government alleged that the agent had breached a particular requirement of the Building Energy Efficiency Disclosure Act 2010 by failing to include a valid energy efficiency rating when advertising a building for rent.

The Statutory Liability section of their Management Liability policy was triggered, and the real estate agent was covered for the penalty of $42,500.
