An insured plumber was drilling a whole through timber. The timber broke whilst drilling, causing the plumber to drill through their leg. They required stiches and were off work for a week.

After reviewing the supporting evidence, which included photos and a doctor’s report, the insurer accepted the claim. A one-off payment of $721.14 was made to the insured as a full and final settlement.
