While providing a bonding treatment to a client, a hairdresser noticed immediate breakage of the client’s hair. They promptly washed off the treatment and applied additional treatments to mitigate further damage.

However, upon returning home, the client’s hair continued to break. It was impossible for them to run their hands through their hair without it breaking and falling out. The client filed a claim against the hairdresser for the damage and associated mental distress.

The hairdresser’s insurer accepted the claim and paid $10,000 in damages to the client.
