Professional Indemnity Insurance

The Insured is an OHS consultant who prepared an OHS assessment of the common areas of the residential apartment block. A technician was severely injured whilst working on the property. WorkCover commenced negligence proceedings against a number of defendants including the Insured.

Damages against all defendants exceeded $5 million and the Insured’s portion amounted to over $300,000. In additional to the settlement payment, $130,000 in legal costs was incurred by the Insurer.
