A client hired an interior designer for a property renovation project. After the client chose a bathroom floor tile, the designer confirmed their selection and specifications with the project builder, who ordered the tile and installed it.

During a project walkthrough upon completion, the client discovered that the wrong tile had been used. The designer reviewed their communications with the client and discovered that they had given the builder incorrect information about the tiles.

The insurer paid out a total of $25,000 to correct the mistake.
